On a breezy Friday afternoon, tucked away in a cozy home filled with laughter and the aroma of fresh coffee, four friends gathered: Um Fahed, Um Faisal, Abu Faisal, and Abu Fahed. It wasn’t an occasion—just one of those casual, feel-good gatherings that happen when hearts are close.

As conversations danced from daily life to old memories, Um Fahed brought out a tray of homemade donuts she had been experimenting with. Soft, golden rings of dough, lightly dusted with sugar and drizzled with a silky glaze. She placed them on the table, humble and warm.

Um Faisal took the first bite—and everything changed.

She paused, eyes wide, then grinned, “Wallah, this tastes better than anything I’ve ever bought from the big places!” The room burst into laughter, but the spark had already lit.
